General Entry Requirements


Candidates applying for the Diploma or Bachelor of Film Arts must obtain credit in English Language, Literature in English, Physics and any other four subjects in the humanities at not more than two (2) sittings, in addition to at least a pass in Mathematics at SSCE, GCE '0' Level.

Four-Year Degree Programme

Applicants must write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the approved scores in the Use of English (compulsory) and three other subjects.

Two -Year Diploma Programme

Applicants must write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the approved scores in the Use of English (compulsory) and three other subjects.

Three-Year Degree Programme

Candidates should hold a Diploma in Film Arts of the National Film Institute,Jos. Candidates who hold diploma in Media Arts Studies, Jos, Journalism or Television Journalism, Television Production and any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution with a minimum of Merit Pass will also be considered.

Certificate Course

The Certificate program is run quaterly by the Institute spanning between 6 to 12weeks. Reminder adverts are usually place online and other media for this program.

Outreach Programme

The Outreach Programme is usually organized for willing institutions and corporate organizations on demand.
